Until now, Mow and Snow have been known for lawncare and snow removal. The new website repositions them as a landscaping company and has led to new contracts.

The Brief

The previous website was no longer working for the company. The site was old, a broken plugin was outputting computing code onto the pages, and a lack of proper maintenance led to the site being hacked.

After I’d provided advice on undoing the havoc the hackers had wrought, the company asked me to redesign the Mow and Snow website

The Build

Initially, the company was going to use the existing content on the new site, but the change of emphasis on the services that the company provides meant that a lot of new copy was required. This content was added to the services pages and to new blog pages that highlight the constructions that they have completed over the last few years.

Weather Warnings

The company’s Facebook page has a number of subscribers, but was underused. This is now the primary location for their snowfall warnings and their snow removal updates. The latest Facebook post is also replicated automatically on their website home page, giving website users the latest conditions.

Immediate Visitor Response

Within days of the website going live, Mow and Snow were contacted by a site visitor who didn’t previously know they were landscape creators as well as landscape maintainers.
